Be Active Melbourn Ltd are currently looking to employ a Duty Manager for our friendly leisure facility on Melbourn Village College grounds.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone with experience in the field and also be trained and qualified in the following:
· Some experience in working within this industry and dealing with the public
. National Pool Lifeguard qualification (very desirable but not essential)
· Relevant coaching qualifications if applicable
The successful applicant will help run the facility with overseeing of general centre activities including swimming pool, fitness suite, dryside activities, outdoor courts and new Astro-Turf pitch along with holiday initiatives such as PlayScheme. They will also be responsible for the efficient running of the sports centre when on operational shifts (such as opening/locking up), ensuring a safe, clean and pleasant experience for members of the public and operational staff.
Salary will be dependant upon experience and industry qualifications. On site training will be given where applicable; some other qualifications may be available to the right candidate.

Requirements
- Experience and skills as above for working within the Leisure Industry
- A friendly, enthusiastic personality
- The ability to use your initiative and work as part of a team
- Having a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard certificate is desirable but not essential
Weekly Hours: Approx. 37.5 hours
Shift Pattern: Various Shifts (Early, Evenings and Weekends)
